As often as you do this, do it in remembrance of me. (1 Corinthians 11:25)
This popular passage is recognizable to many, often recited in conjunction with the observance of communion in memorial of what is called the last supper. A reference that calls to mind the Passover meal in (Exodus 12) – (Luke 22:19) The meal shared with the disciples the night before Jesus took the cross… I submit to you, there is a similar thought of this in prayer. As often as you do this… (conversing with God).
Consider it this way, as often as you come, commune, fellowship one with another in God’s Spirit through prayer, do so and consider He – the author of faith (Jesus).
It’s a personal endeavor, to me, that pushes the passion to pursue true imparting of the power present in believers. Beginning with the strength and confidence of information; a more complete revelation of God in relevance to you – to me; a personal reunion. It’s a statement that emphasizes the weight that is carried, “as often as you remember – as often as you partake, as often as you consider the price and the gift; you are there in fellowship with me (Jesus).
With that thought I share with you some words Paul wrote relative to the churches of his ministry.
- Philippians 1:9-11 (NKJV)
I pray that my love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that I may approve the things that are excellent that I may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God. - Colossians 1:9-12 (ESV)
I ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May I be strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the father who has qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
